About us
Learn-AT Professional, formerly Learn-AT Teaching School, works with teachers, leaders and schools both locally and nationally in different strands of school improvement and professional development.
Our work is based on two underlying principles, professional learning and professional collaboration. Through our work with strategic partners at the University of Leicester, the Teacher Development Trust and the Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership, we provide professional learning pathways including Initial Teacher Training and the new National Professional Qualifications. Equally important is our approach of professional collaboration, through our networks and iterative programmes on curriculum design, we work with school leaders to learn together from a rich evidence based supported by Learn-AT Associate Research School.
Learn-AT Professional is part of Learn Academies Trust, a multi-academy trust of nineteen primary schools in Leicestershire who each contribute to the provision offered by Learn-AT Professional:
Lubenham All Saints CE Primary School
Husbands Bosworth CE Primary School
St Andrew’s CE Primary School, North Kilworth
Church Langton CE Primary School
Blaby Stokes CE Primary School
South Kilworth CE Primary School
Queniborough CE Primary School
Thrussington CE Primary School
Hope Hamilton CE Primary School
Houghton-on-the-Hill CE Primary School
Richard Hill CE Primary School
We have a history of working collaboratively within a cluster of schools as well as through many partnership projects.
Learn-AT Professional builds on the unique strengths of each of its founding partners. Church Langton has a well-established and proven track record in initial teacher training provision, working alongside the University of Leicester. The partner primary schools can offer support to deliver high quality teaching, learning and leadership development and in particular a focus on the use of research to inform school improvement.
We offer a continuously evolving professional development programme specifically to deliver ‘exceptional' quality in teaching. We are particularly proud of our professional network learning opportunities which form part of our offer to schools.
